Funds from the President’s Fund for Kotmale Bus Accident Victims to Be Distributed Through Divisional Secretariats
Under the instructions of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the financial assistance allocated from the President’s Fund for the victims of the recent bus accident in the Garandiella area of Kotmale will be forwarded to the relevant Divisional Secretariats.
Accordingly, a sum of Rs. 1 million will be provided for each individual who lost their life in the accident, and the money will be handed over to the respective family members of the deceased.
The funds have been released to the Divisional Secretariats of Tissamaharama, Lunugamvehera, Welimada, Haldummulla, Ella, Kundasale, Bamunakotuwa, Paduwasnuwara West, Polpithigama, Wanathavilluwa, Chilaw, Buttala, Thanamalwila, Wellawaya, Kanthale, and Rambewa—areas where the 22 deceased individuals resided.
